Tail Wagger’s is committed to helping people help animals. It is our ultimate goal to be able to support dedicated pet owners who are in need of assistance along with providing necessary funding for those animals in emergency situations.

Low Cost Vaccination Clinic

Tail Wagger’s  held their first low-cost vaccination clinic of the season on Sunday, June 6th and over 150 animals received their yearly vaccinations.
With the weather cooperating and people arriving almost an hour early to register, Dr. Sharon Sheehy of Sheehy Animal Hospital, along with her two technicians, Tracy and Debbie, kept up with the demand. With over an hour wait at times, Dr.Sheehy continued to vaccinate till 7:30 p.m. (the event closed at 5:00 p.m.) and accommodated everyone that made it into line! People came from as far away as Green Oak Township and Monroe to receive this discounted service to keep their pets healthy!
Distemper , Rabies and Bordetella were offered for $12 each but all three vaccines could be purchased for a discounted rate of $30. Many owners also had their pets micro-chipped and over 100 animals were tested for heartworm!
Founder, Laura Zain said that Dr. Sheehy and staff supported this Clinic by donating their services 100% - which speaks volumes about caring for the pets in our community.  Even after waiting for over an hour, families were thankful and appreciative of this service and felt it was “worth the wait” because Dr. Sheehy saved some families “hundreds of dollars” in routine vet care.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sheehy, Tracy, Debbie and all the volunteers that made this day possible.  We thank all the families that waited it out to get these much-needed vaccines and sincerely hope we can be of service to your pet again in the future.
Additional vaccination clinics are planned to be scheduled throughout the summer at various locations and will be posted on this site.  For additional information or questions, e-mail us at vaccinationclinic@yahoo.com
